Gathering the facts:

“It’s a really exciting action film, but with a lot of style.” said Christensen, who revealed that he picked out his own bowtie and Fedora. He still wears his Fedora every now and then.

What was it like making a cops and robbers movie? “Everybody making this movie was so excited by… it’s a true action movie,” claimed the actor whose favorite movie in the genre is “Heat.”

“This is an opportunity for me to act like a kid and play cops and robbers and run around shooting a gun… it’s what you dream about growing up.”

Around the water cooler:

“Takers,” which opens in theaters August 27th, is a movie about a group of bank robbers that have their robbery plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective. (Imdb) It will be interesting to see how this movie performs at the box office this weekend. The cast includes rapper T.I., Chris Brown, Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, and Zoe Saldana.

A final thought:

Will “Takers” continued the trend of very weak box office numbers this summer, or will the crime movie be a pleasant surprise.

The big news was announced at the Star Wars Celebration V event that took place in Orlando, Florida this weekend. There it was revealed that not only one but both trilogies will finally be released in the blu-ray format. And of course they’ll have all the fanboy trimmings like a special box set, with cool designs and all that jazz.

If you’re like most of the general population you’re probably asking yourself, “What the hell took them so long?” Well, the man behind it all George Lucas spoke to The New York Times about his decision to release the films on blu-ray now as opposed to years ago.

“We’ve been wanting to do it as soon as we possibly could, but we just wanted to do it when enough people would be able to buy it and see it. We’ve been working on them for quite a while, but still, there are pipelines. Unfortunately, the recent releases get priority over what we call the classic versions of things.”

All the work being put into the discs won’t go unnoticed because there will be tons of new material and extras for you to drool over.

A specific sale date hasn’t been given but the blu-ray is slated to hit shelves during the fall of 2011.
